"Building Our Future"
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
Allah states in the Quran:
“Aid one another in all that is good and taqwa”
My beloved brothers and sisters, this verse is a powerful verse. Allah is instructing us to work together, to collaborate, and that through this action of coming together, we can build a future and a legacy for generations to come.
Allah knows and is aware of the power of unity. He knows and is aware that when individuals and organizations work together, that the sky is just the beginning, and the sky is not the limit. Many believe, that the sky is the limit, and this is due to a short vision, a lack of trust in Allah, and a very low desire of truly building something that affects, not only lives, but history and time.
As Latino Muslims, Allah is giving us that ability to not only affect lives, but to affect history and the time in which we live. The question is, “Are we ready to come together to build this legacy?” I know deep within my soul that we are ready and have the talent! I know that we have the skills and the professionalism to make this dream come true, but for many years, we have been seeking for others to make it come true for us.
It’s time for us to awaken out of that slumber, to put behind us those disappointments that we have faced in trying to serve the cause, and that we come together to build that legacy that awaits its sincere builders to construct. We have the great task of catering to the needs of our people. Allah informed us in the Quran, wherein He states:
“And We sent not a Messenger except with the language of his people, in order that he might make the message clear for them. Then Allah misguides whom He wills and He guides whom He wills. And He is the All Mighty, The All Wise” (Ibrahim:5)
You and I are ambassadors for our people, clarifying to them the message in our mother tongue, which helps to guide them to Allah and His Messenger. This was Allah’s goal and purpose for sending messengers to different nations, so that the message would be one of clarity and comprehension.
So that this message would also be delivered with the love of their people and country. He knew the drive the messenger would have in wanting to guide his people. He knew the passion that would be found in that ambassador whom He has guided with this blessed mission.
Join us my beloved brothers and sisters! And let us come together to build that goal that we all desire and have, a strong nation full of Latino Muslims who are worshipping, praising, and glorifying God.
NJ, NY, Texas, Chicago, California, Michigan, Florida, Atlanta, the 50 states, Mexico, Columbia, Guatemala, Peru, Santo Domingo, y Puerto Rico, mi gente (my people), let’s come together for Allah, and build that legacy that Allah is waiting for us to build.
I love you all for the sake of Allah, and we depend on Allah first, and then in all of you, to make this collaboration happen.
