Tiaras of Modesty: Building Self-Esteem
Asalaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu I hope this message finds you all well. For the month of February Tiaras of Modesty will be having a 2-hour workshop designed for teenagers who are curious about the role of body image on self-esteem and self-confidence. This workshop will improve the participant's awareness of internal and external factors that help shape one’s body image.
This workshop will be hosted by Dr. Sana Younus, she completed her medical education at Dow Medical College, Pakistan. She then pursued her career in Mental Health and completed her training in adult psychiatry and then child and adolescent psychiatry from the Aga Khan University in Pakistan. She was awarded the Paramjit Joshi International scholar award at the annual AACAP conference in 2018 and was also named DJ Cohen Fellow at the IACAPAP meeting the same year. She recently relocated to Houston and is a third-year resident Psychiatrist at Baylor College of Medicine. She has a special interest in child and adolescent mental health and plans to further her career in the domain of global mental health policy and mental health advocacy for children and adolescents.
Looking forward to seeing your girls.
