It is truly a blessing to see a young Latina named Julissa accept Islam at the age of 15 after finding IslamInSpanish online. Seeking support, she learned about IslamInSpanish and was pleased to find out that there was an IslamInSpanish Outreach Center in her hometown of Dallas, Texas. She walked in one day without knowing anyone and accepted Islam at only 15 years old last year.

This year, we continue to work with her after she received a painful backlash from her family, in particular, her father after she informed him of her embracing Islam. He felt betrayed by her daughter's conversion and now mentions not even wanting to give her his last name.

When Latinos find out of IslamInSpanish, their discovery can be life-changing.

Our organization is able to make such a big impact on Latinos who are seeking the answers that Islam provides.

So a question has come up that we wanted to pose to every one of you:

Where would she have gone if IslamInSpanish didn't exist? 

Chances are, it would've been challenging to make the transition and she very well may have not have received the education and community support that IslamInSpanish provides.

Now, even Julissa's mother who is not yet Muslim has shown appreciation of our work and interactions with her.
