Seeds that will make you happy when you see Allah make them sprout

For nearly 20 years we've been delivering the message of Islam in the Spanish language and it's stories like that of Sister Jameela's that withstand the test of time. 17 years ago, this Latina sister came to an open house event delivered in Spanish at a local mosque in Dallas.

A non-Muslim at the time, she was moved to tears by the presentation and embraced Islam on that day. Her shahada was also covered by a Dallas Morning News reporter who herself became emotional from witnessing the story overtaken by tears as well.

A devout Catholic, it was hearing verses that depicted the miracle creation of Jesus from the Qur'an's perspective and how Allah fashioned Jesus similar to the creation of Adam that left such a profound effect on her and pushed her to accept Islam.

Sister Jameela shared this remarkable story recently at the Dallas Outreach Center. In the busyness of our work, we forgot about Sister Jameela but she remembered us very well as we planted a seed in her which has blossomed beautifully 17 years later. Durante casi 20 años hemos estado transmitiendo el mensaje del Islam en español y son historias como la de la hermana Jameela las que resisten el paso del tiempo. Hace 17 años, esta hermana latina vino a un evento de puertas abiertas en español en una mezquita local en Dallas.

No musulmana en ese momento, la presentación la conmovió hasta las lágrimas y abrazó el Islam ese día. Su shahada también fue cubierta por un periodista de Dallas Morning News, quien también se emocionó al presenciar la historia sobrecogida por las lágrimas.

Una católica devota, escuchaba versos que representaban la creación milagrosa de Jesús desde la perspectiva del Corán y cómo Alá diseñó a Jesús de manera similar a la creación de Adán que dejó un efecto tan profundo en ella y la empujó a aceptar el Islam.

La hermana Jameela compartió esta notable historia recientemente en el Dallas Outreach Center. En el ajetreo de nuestro trabajo, nos olvidamos de la hermana Jameela, pero ella nos recordaba muy bien cuando plantamos una semilla en ella que ha florecido maravillosamente 17 años después.
